Sirius is a medical device designed to process living tissues with a stream of cold plasma. The device acts on tissues with non-equilibrium cold plasma obtained in an inert gas environment (helium, argon, nitrogen or a mixture of these gases). Ions and neutral particles in plasma have very low energy, so the temperature of such a plasma is low, only 30-45 ° C.

Cold plasma is generated in the ionization chamber and radiated outside the working tool. The device produces a jet of cold plasma up to 50mm long and up to 10mm in diameter.
The plasma jet temperature does not exceed 40 ° C. In a plasma jet formed by a high-voltage nanosecond pulse, the number of active components has increased several times compared to plasma jets formed by other ionization methods. Low power consumption (40W) made it possible to create a compact model of the plasma apparatus. Dimensions of the main unit 300x250x70mm. By means of spectroscopy, the presence of NO and an increased content of the OH radical were detected in the plasma jet, which indicates a high plasma-chemical component of this method of gas ionization in order to obtain cold plasma.

Considering the fact that the cold-plasma jet of the apparatus has a completely homogeneous and chemically active plasma, this allows it is highly effective to use it both on biofilms and on mucous membranes. The plasma jet of the apparatus was tested on various skin diseases. During the tests, the device showed the highest efficiency in the fight against pathogenic microorganisms and various pathogens, as well as a high rate of epithelialization of wounds.
